Classes In CHIANTI — at the Badia a Coltibuono

This starkly handsome abbey-cum-hotel sits in a silent landscape high in the Chianti hills – a place where time seems suspended. Here, midst two thousand acres of forest and two millennia of history, you can commune with nature, dine like a king, and sleep in monastic peace.
— The Telegraph

Benedetta Vitali offers cooking classes at the Badia a Coltibuono, a beautifully restored medieval abbey in Gaiole in Chianti, an hour from Florence. Benedetta's cooking courses are not "lessons" in the usual sense but rather total immersion in the kitchen. Students are personally supervised by Benedetta as they observe and participate in all of the steps of preparing Tuscan dishes. With years of experience sharing her love for food and cooking, Benedetta enjoys sharing her gifts with everyone, from the amateur to the professional, who wants to improve their skills in the kitchen.

These classes are for anyone who is interested, passionate, and willing to learn. Food is an extraordinary means of communicating and there are no "secret" recipes.
