I am very happy to announce that beginning in the spring of 2015 I am the head teacher at the cooking school of the Badia a Coltibuono. This is the famous school that was founded by Lorenza de’ Medici near Gaiole, in Chianti, about an hour from Florence. The Badia is a thousand-year-old abbey that was transformed by the Stucchi Prinetti Family into a highly praised winery, a restaurant, and a lovely inn. We are offering one-day immersion courses in Tuscan cooking as well as two-day (three-night) intensive residential courses to discover a range of Tuscan dishes. Although the Badia is now my first priority, I am also occasionally teaching in town at a new school called the Florence Food Studio, in Oltrarno near Santo Spirito. Here we offer one-day courses with lunch or dinner for groups of up to ten persons. Write to me with the dates you are interested in a course and I will let you know my availability.
